What is happening.
A child’s visual system finishes developing early. Squint, uncorrected power or amblyopia left alone during those years can settle permanently — and children almost never complain, because blurred vision is the only vision they have known.

How we treat it.
Paediatric examination, squint evaluation and surgery, orthoptics, and amblyopia therapy that goes beyond patching — including Bynocs dichoptic training, where contrast-adjusted games played with both eyes open rebuild binocular vision, typically 30–40 minutes at least five times a week.

When should a child first see an eye doctor?
Any parental concern is reason enough. Routine screening is worthwhile even when nothing obvious seems wrong.
Can lazy eye be treated?
Amblyopia responds best when treated early, with glasses, patching or penalisation and orthoptic support. Dichoptic therapy extends what is possible for older children and some adults.
How does Bynocs therapy work?
Games present different contrast levels to each eye to reduce suppression of the weaker eye. Improvement often begins within about two weeks, with good results by six to eight weeks in suitable cases.
