What is glaucoma?

Glaucoma is a group of conditions that damage the optic nerve, the cable that carries vision from the eye to the brain. It usually reduces peripheral (side) vision first, without pain or early warning.

Can glaucoma be cured?

Damage already done cannot be reversed, but timely treatment can usually slow or stop further loss.

What is MIGS HFDS surgery?

High-Frequency Deep Sclerotomy creates a direct channel between the front chamber of the eye and Schlemm’s canal, bypassing the blockage to drainage. It is a micro-invasive alternative to conventional glaucoma surgery.

Who should get tested for glaucoma?

Anyone with a family history of glaucoma, people over 40, and anyone with high eye pressure should have regular checks, even without symptoms.
