Oculoplasty.
Functional and aesthetic care for eyelid, orbit and tear duct conditions.
EYON Eye & Laser Institute — Kharadi, Pune
Oculoplasty diagnostics.
The socket, the orbit, the surrounding frame.
What is happening.
Oculoplasty covers everything around the eye rather than the eye itself — the lids that protect it, the tear system that keeps it wet, and the orbit that holds it. When these fail, vision and comfort go with them.
When to come in.
- Drooping eyelids that block vision
- Constantly watering eyes or a blocked tear duct
- Lids turning inward or outward
- Orbital swelling or lesions
- Ageing changes around the eyelids
How we treat it.
Ptosis correction, blepharoplasty, dacryocystorhinostomy for the tear duct, tumour excision and orbital surgery — most under local anaesthesia, restoring function first and appearance as a natural consequence.
What sets this apart.
Function comes first here. A natural appearance is the quiet result of surgery done properly, not the goal that drives it.
What patients ask.
Is eyelid surgery purely cosmetic?
No. Many procedures restore vision blocked by drooping lids, or treat watering, irritation and lid malposition.
What is recovery like?
Cool compresses and rest for the first few days, with heavy lifting deferred for roughly one to two weeks. Stitches, where used, usually come out within two weeks.
